My Story

Hi, I'm Katrina.

I'm not here because I've only studied grief.

I'm here because I've lived it.

Grief has shaped my life in ways I never imagined. I've experienced the unimaginable loss of my son, Jaleel, navigated divorce, faced serious health challenges, survived childhood trauma, and endured seasons where it felt like life kept asking more of me than I had left to give.

For years, I believed healing meant I had to "get over it." I eventually discovered something very different.

Healing isn't about forgetting.

It's about learning to carry love and loss together.

That realization changed my life.

And it became the beginning of Grief2Heal.

Why Grief2Heal Exists

Grief2Heal was created from a simple truth I discovered through my own life:

You can spend years surviving without ever truly healing.

After walking through profound loss, childhood trauma, health challenges, and life's unexpected hardships, I realized that healing doesn't begin when the pain disappears, it begins when we give ourselves permission to acknowledge it.

Grief2Heal is my way of creating the safe, compassionate space I once needed, a place where people can lay down the weight they've been carrying, embrace their story, and discover that they don't have to walk through grief alone.

My hope is that everyone who visits Grief2Heal leaves with one simple gift: the permission to begin healing, exactly where they are.

MY MISSION

At Grief2Heal, I believe healing begins with permission.

Permission to slow down.

Permission to feel.

Permission to ask for help.

Permission to stop surviving and start living again.

My mission is to create a compassionate space where people feel safe enough to be honest about their grief and hopeful enough to believe healing is possible.

I don't believe in rushing grief or telling people how they should heal.

I believe in meeting people where they are, walking beside them with compassion, and offering meaningful experiences, thoughtful resources, and a supportive community that reminds them they are never alone.

Because healing isn't about forgetting what you've lost.

It's about rediscovering yourself while carrying your story with grace.
